KSA believe in the integrity and specialist skills offered by Youth Offending Services. We believe they have a unique perspective in understanding the factors associated with offending and the action required to promote desistance. We also recognise and value their role with victims of crime and the importance of reintegrating young offenders back into the community.
KSA can help with the training and development of all youth offending professionals. We have worked with teams in all four corners of England and right across Wales.
Our work is valued because we have a detailed working knowledge of the practicalities of the youth justice environment as well being linked into emerging policy and practice.
We are proud to have played a part in improving the youth justice system in our work with the Department for Education, Youth Justice Board, ACPO and Home Office. We have led on work to develop the ‘Triage’ arrest referral scheme, provided guidance for neighbourhood policing teams on working with young offenders and also advise on creating integrated locality teams to reduce youth offending.
Our training courses provide opportunities to reflect and revitalise practice and well as develop new skills. We are experienced in all areas from early intervention through to the secure estate and everything else in between!
