Being professionally curious is the application of high level skills to a defined assessment process. This course is ideal for any professional delivering assessments in a child or family setting.

The course develops the skills of assessment whilst maintaining respectful scepticism to ensure that the safety and well being of children is not compromised. It includes the theoretical framework of assessment within a practical application. The course looks at applying a range of tools and techniques to keep the assessment process fresh and engaging and sharpens key communication skills.

Participants will learn skills of analysis and judgement relating to protecting children and young people and use reflective practice to ensure they continually perform at the highest level. The course includes identifying disguised compliance and also being able to identify cumulative harm.
